A new trailer for Sofia Coppola ‘The Beguiled’ was released, just to make us sure that time can’t get fast enough for its film premiere. Watch it below:

“The Beguiled” is an atmospheric thriller from acclaimed writer/director Sofia Coppola. The story unfolds during the Civil War, at a Southern girls’ boarding school. Its sheltered young women take in an injured enemy soldier. As they provide refuge and tend to his wounds, the house is taken over with sexual tension and dangerous rivalries, and taboos are broken in an unexpected turn of events.

Starring Colin Farrell, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Elle Fanning addition to Emma Howard, Oona Laurence, Angourie Rice, and Addison Riecke, Focus Features will release “The Beguiled” on June 23, but of course, you’ll get to hear about it first at the Cannes Film Festival next month.

Following the launch of Calvin Klein’s men’s underwear campaign starring the lead actors of the Academy Award–winning Moonlight, the brand has released its women’s underwear campaign shot by Sofia Coppola. The grainy black-and-white videos celebrate women ages 18 to 73, each handpicked by Coppola for the series. The director’s longtime muse Kirsten Dunst appears, as does Rashida Jones, Nathalie Love, up-and-coming actress Laura Harrier, Maya Thurman-Hawke (the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman), Chase Sui Wonders (niece of Coppola’s friend, the designer Anna Sui) and Lauren Hutton.

ophia talked about this remake of the classic Clint Eastwood movie but, this time the story is told from the female’s point of view. The original movie, about a Civil War soldier who finds himself trapped in a girls’ boarding school, was told from the man’s perspective.

The Beguiled, which Coppola not only directed but also wrote and co-produced, is due to be released in theatres on June 23, 2017.

Our gallery was updated with pictures of Kirsten being a vision yesterday at the Academy Awards. She wore a 1950s inspired Dior dress, she attended alongside fiance Jesse Plemons.

Vogue published today her Oscars Beauty Photo Diary, with photos of her getting styled by hairstylist Adir Abergel and makeup artist Jillian Dempsey, and also styled by Nina and Clare Hallworth.

Yesterday Kirsten attended in Los Angeles a Hidden Figures celebration party held by Vanity Fair and Genesis. And today she was joined by fiancé Jesse Plemons at the Spirit Awards ceremony – it seems she skipped the red carpet since no picture surfaced yet. Check in our gallery the HQs.

The Beguiled is featured on current Entertainment Weekly issue, and I have digital scans added in our gallery.

Sofia Copolla returns this year with “The Beguiled,” and Focus Features released today the first official promotional images and a teaser trailer.

Based on the 1966 Thomas Cullinan novel, The Beguiled stars Nicole Kidman as the headmistress of the stately Miss Martha Farnsworth Seminary for Young Ladies. Kirsten Dunst plays Edwina, a teacher, and Elle Fanning, a teenage student named Alicia. The school, in some disrepair, has remained largely untouched by the war, but the girls’ seclusion is interrupted by the discovery of a wounded soldier from the Union Army (Colin Farrell). His arrival kicks off a twisty tale of seduction and jealousy.

A 1971 film adaptation starred Clint Eastwood as the injured man, but Coppola shifted the focus from a male protagonist to tell the story from the point of view of the female characters.

The film stars Kirsten Dunst, Nicole Kidman, Elle Fanning, Colin Farrel, Angourie Rice, Oona Laurence, and Addison Riecke, and will hit theaters on June 23. Watch the trailer below, and check the promotional images in our gallery.
